The department of social work had organized a workshop on data analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) on 6.09.2024 at IT Center, HATIM.

The purpose of the workshop was designed to enhance the participants’ skills in statistical analysis using SPSS. The workshop was attended by the Social Work students, as well as the Vice Principal, Dr. R. Lalnunthara, Mr. K. Lalmuanpuia, Asst. Coordinator, IQAC, and Lalkimliani, Assistant Professor Dept. of Commerce.

The program was divided into two sessions. Ms. Lalhmangaihfawnveli, the Organizing Secretary, chaired the morning and afternoon sessions. Mr. Rosangliana Khiangte, Head of the Social Work Department, delivered a welcoming address on behalf of the department, followed by the Vice Principal Dr. R. Lalnunthara, who gave an insightful speech regarding the relevance of SPSS. The resource person, Mr. RTC Lalremruata, Asst. Professor explained and demonstrates the introduction of SPSS, importing data, data coding, data transformation and descriptive statistics.

In the afternoon session, the resource person explained and demonstrates the normality test, reliability test, chi square test, t-test (independent, paired, ANOVA, correlational analysis). Mr. K. Lalmuanpuia, Assistant Coordinator IQAC, delivered a short speech and distributed certificates. The program was closed with a vote of thanks given by Ms. Lalruatfeli.
